Simultaneously with the Central Asian Championship among juniors (U17) organized in the city of Chirchik, the Championship of Uzbekistan among juniors (U15) was also held.
More than 300 young wrestlers competed for the victory at the national championship. According to the final results, the following teams took the top three places in terms of medals:
Karshi TCFOPS – 3 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze
Namangan region – 3 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze
Khorezm region – 2 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze
Also, Uzbekistan Championship records were set in a number of weight categories. Among women, in the -33 kg weight category, Soliha Bahodirova (Samarkand v.) broke the country’s record by lifting 45 kg (the previous record was 43 kg) and 78 kg in the doubles (the previous record was 75 kg). In the +71 kg weight category, Yukarkar Ruzivulova won 83 kg in deadlift (previous record 76 kg), 101 kg in deadlift (previous record 97 kg) and 184 kg in double wrestling (previous record 172 kg). broke the existing records in this age category. Among the boys, Ozodbek Mominjonov (Chirchik TCFOPS), who competed in the -67 kg weight category, broke national records by lifting 135 kg (the previous record was 131 kg) and 237 kg (the previous record was 234 kg) in the doubles.
Among the boys, Muhammadshakir Turdaliyev (Namangan TCFOPS), and Shakhzoda Abdumutalova (Navoi TCFOPS) were recognized as the best athletes of this year’s Uzbekistan Championship.
